Is there some kind of election going on right now? Seems to be a lot of unknown phone numbers trying to call us, and the un-watchable television networks are even more un-watchable.

It's probably not just election stuff - I've been getting a lot of spam calls over the past year-ish, and it wasn't bad before that. Calls about "reducing the payment on my credit cards" (which are paid in full twice a month) and "the warranty on your car may be about to expire". I gave up and now don't answer numbers I don't know. They never leave voicemails. If it was important, they would.

I'm pretty sure it's illegal callers - the same thing happened about a decade ago, also with extended warranty people. I remember the FCC asking for help in tracking the culprits down because they were having trouble.
