How far can you ride/climb?
How long is your long ride right now? And how many feet can you climb in that distance?
I am only up to 32 miles, but that's with 2500 feet of climbing.

How long can I or have I? Longest ride I've done is around 50 miles and most climbing I've done in one ride is around 3500 feet in 40 mile ride. I think I could do 150 miles and 10k feet in one ride if I ever had the time and motivation to do so

I did 100.0 miles last Saturday, only ~3400' of climbing. That felt OK. 6:01 in the saddle. Best I've done on a day ride was 275 miles and ~15,000' IIRC, ~18:30 elapsed, don't remember saddle time. I'm not talented but I train.

is few years ago i had do 40 miles in hilly trail elevatgion from 700 feet to 900 feet. That trail is hilly but after the hill is over is have little flat spots and some downhills too. I used do daily the 20 miles one day i deside to see if i can do 40 miles. But the second ride the 20 miles is take me much longer to finish that i used to do the 20 miles. I got tired and i deside no try do more miles that day. My average speed in the 20 miles is was 12.5 miles per hour. But in the second ride my average speed is had go down. I work in warehouse i can ride around the building i do one time i ride 2 hours and 15 minutes. i do 30 miles 60 laps around the building. The 25 miles i do okay but then i got tired but i deside do the 30 miles. Now maybe i got tired because i do that ride after 8 of work plus is was boring that ride around the building.

Just about 100 miles door to door: ride to the ride (20), ride the group ride (60), and ride home (20).
As for climbing, it's pretty flat here, but I have done Haleakala a few times. That's 10,000ft from the beach to the summit. That was a slog.

I've done a few double centuries, and many 14k foot centuries, but generally keep my longish rides to about 80 miles or so.
60-80 miles is no big deal(no planning needed other than desire). Most rides are 40-50(flattish) miles.

I've done four 1200K randonnees (1200 km in 90 hours or less) + one 1000K (1000 km in 72 hours) ... but the last time I did one of those was in 2005.
I've done many Super Randonneur series (200K - 13.5 hours max, 300K - 20 hours, 400K - 27 hours, 600K - 40 hours) ... but the last time I did a full series was, I think, in 2007.
Since then, I've done lots of centuries, 200Ks, and a few 300Ks.
In the past few months, Rowan and I have done quite a bit of cycling ... 100Ks, a century (100 miles), and a 200K.
As far as climbing goes ... it is fairly hilly here so it's a rare ride that's flat.

I've done about 180 miles 3 times in my life, and all with panniers.
The first time, it was pretty flat.
The second time, had 3 or 4 hills, not huge ones, but good enough.
The third one had GPS data. 1 good hill, and a few smaller ones, and according to GPS, about 5370 climbing.
Hard climbing days are about 1 vertical mile.

Longest ride to date was 120 miles. Based on how I felt after that was over, I could probably do 150 without collapsing.
Most elevation gained on a ride to date was just shy of 11,000 ft. Similarly judging from that, and from climby-est half-day ride of nearly 6,000 feet in just over 12 miles, I'm guessing the most I could do in one day's ride would be about 12,000.
Edit: Just re-read original post and noticed that this was about longest ride and how much climbing was in that. Well, the elevation gained in that 120 mile ride was just over 4700 feet (NYC Century, plus ride from home and back). A close second, but with considerably more climbing was the day of the GFNY: 114 miles/9,000 feet, counting the ride to start and from finish. Third would be the NJ Gran Fondo, which was 107 miles/8200 feet. That max elevation ride was just over 46 miles, with 4 1/2 hours moving time.

133 miles yesterday for an early 2 X my age in July of 66 then 1 extra for a "pinch to grow an inch."
200 last Halloween day with the first 100 in 5:51:49, a short break then the second 100 in 5:43:46
During IRONMAN Florida in 2014 at 64yo I did the 112 miles non stop in 6:10:11 with 15mph to 30mph winds. The 26.2 mile marathon after was rather slow!!!!
With 10 days notice I rode Six Gap last year, 103 miles and 11,000' climbing in 7:10:39, not too bad considering I've lived in flatland SW FL since 1986. Also had prostate cancer and ZERO testosterone for that ride so things were not UP to par. Feeling better now and expecting Six Gap to be faster this year since I will be preparing for it.

My longest climb was Mt. Lemmon which is about 23mi of climbing, half at 5-6% and half at 7-8%. My longest ride a year or two ago was 132mi but it involved several thousand feet of some pretty serious climbing. I ran out of light but felt great and could have ridden another 25mi with no problem. It's still winter here with a fair bit of snow on the ground so long rides are still a month or two away.

Supposed to be 138 yesterday but storm, so put off 'til Tuesday.

At your current "32 miles and 2500 feet of climbing" you are already in the endurance riding mode, riding for hours at a time. So adding miles or elevation is mostly a matter of riding regularly and having a reasonable bike fit so you can tolerate the longer ride. 40 or 50 miles is doable right now.
For inspiration, I like this 2012 ride report, 32 miles uphill:

This year I resolved to do a monthly long ride. 109 miles / 7000 feet in January, 134 / 6000 feet in February, should be 205 and 8000 feet in March.
It's more about the time I make than how long I can ride physically.

I've ridden both the Alta Alpina Challenge (double century on many of the same climbs as the [Markleeville] Death Ride) and the Devil Mountain Double on recumbents -- advertised as 198mi/20.3k ft and 206mi/18.6k of climbing respectively. Longest days of my life.

I've done 168 rides of at least 100 miles since my first in 1994. And it depends. Sometimes I do them relatively quickly, other times it takes a long time. Sometimes I just stop for short breaks, sometimes I stop for lunch breaks. It depends on weather, terrain, whether it's an event or not, and how I feel.
CENTURY ..... 97
200K ........... 30
300K ........... 17
400K ........... 12
600K ........... 7
1000K ......... 1
1200K ......... 4
TOTAL ....... 168

Last year was my first full year as a road cyclist. I started riding a hybrid in May 2014 and got my first road bike in September 2014.
In May 2015 I attempted a century but quit at mile 80 and 5,000 ft gain and I was proud of just how far I rode. Then I signed up for a flatter century. Late May I completed a 101 miler with just over 2,000 ft. And I saw online a 125 mile (200K) in Ohio with 2500 ft and I thought to myself that if I just did 2100 in 100 miles surely I could do 2500 in 125 miles. I mean... it was only 25 more miles...
So in July I did the 200K with a new saddle that I HATED and I was in such pain and serious skin losing chaffing but I kept going. Finally in Sept I did a century with 5300 ft and I was the last one to complete it. I know of one who dropped out though so I wasn't officially last
Something about long distances.... I am now gearing up to do a 200K the day after my bday in 2 weeks. Longest ride this year has been so far 42 miles with a tailwind of steady 15mph wind gusting to 28 (my hubby was my driver).
Wish me luck! My usual rides are 26 and 30 miles that I try to do 3 times a week, but so far this year I have only gotten to ride 1 or 2 times a week.
For me it is mostly mental. I am still getting into shape and am overweight and struggle on the hills but I am convinced mentally that I can do it so I will! And fat girls go downhill faster My motto (that I am trying to change)

I'm okay with 35 miles and 2,500 feet of climbing and am not wrecked the next day as long as I don't push the climbs. I'm trying to slowly build up to the point where I can climb faster. It's slow going. If I push too hard early on in the season, I get ITB issues that take me out for a week or two. By the summer, I should be able to do 50-60 at higher altitude. I live west of Denver but mostly ride at 9,000 feet all summer and fall.

Last weekend with decent weather (above 40 degrees) was a 28 mile ride, not positive what elevation (don't have a cycling computer). 3 decent long hills in that stretch. I've only been on the new road bike a handful of times since and am still dialing my bike-fit in. I think I'm getting somewhere as I pulled my seat back a bit, had my handlebars lowered a touch and not much pressure put on my hands over the duration of the ride (but sore abdominals the next day) and I'm guessing that's a good thing...

Last summer 4,100 feet - no flats and no downs for 12 miles. Not bad for 76 YO.
