White stem and bar on a white Pinarello??

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

White stem and bar on a white Pinarello??

Yes or no?

Doing a groupset change, and at the same time getting a narrower bar. Was thinking of white stem, white bar, black tape. What do you guys think?

Edit: The saddle is now a black Toupe with a white frame.

Do not put black tape on a white bar. It is not comparable to white tape on a black bar.

So, then with the black spacers, I think a white stem will look out of place. Maybe retain the same stem and get a new black bar?

Of course I understand your point. But don't be silly. There is nothing humble about my opinions.

But really on subjective subjects for which there is no objective truth, isn't it obvious that any expressed position must just be an opinion? I mean what else is there besides opinions about how something would look?

I wouldn't change any of the colors.

Black stem definitely, but white bar could work.

I think if you didn't want white bar tape, you shouldn't have gotten that frame. It's a beautiful ensemble - you can only screw it up.

This. +1000

You are allowed to use other colors, however.

Or, go Black-White Harlequin with your bartape.

You can't decide on the colors you want on your own bike? OK....
Having said that, though, white on anything you touch or anything that touches you is going to look like crap in a week.

Wow, I guess I'm going to go completely against the grain here, but if you have a saddle with white rails and a black top, I think a white bar with black tape would work nicely with it. No need to change the stem as it complements the seatpost nicely and has both black and white already. But yeah, I say go for it, but I'm obviously wrong.

Just add red trim to the tops of the bar tape you have...
