Best Car for Bike Owners?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It was a great van for cyling, and I took two buddies and 3 MTBs all inside the van down to Kentucky to do some trail riding, and the Van got us across some sweet doubletrack deep in the forests. Good times, those.

I, for one, really want a mini-van

There's MILLIONS of fun things you can do in them! Twister...cart around half a dozen bikes...put another small car inside of them, embarrass daughter on the way to school, you name it.

I don't even really NEED one - I've only got one kid, and our sedan is fine...I just want one lol.

They don't make 'em like this anymore, though, not in the USA anyway:

Yeah I know, when I pulled mine off the shelf it fell on me and it hurt like hell. Volkswagens weigh more than a Marinoni Genius!

As for minivans, I hate the idea of having to turn in your man card before dealer hands you the keys...
I always hated minivans until I got one. So much easier to load bikes in than the average station wagon.

Possibly my favorite feature is how you can press a button and the side doors slide open.

I gained an appreciation for minivans and sliding doors when TPing houses in high school. When we took out my boy John's minivan, a bunch of us could roll up, pile out, hit it and quit it.

...wait a sec...

Back in the day when mooning was a thing, vans with sliding doors were the ultimate guerrilla mooning vehicle. (someone told me that anyway.........)

Any compact or mid-size SUV that either comes standard with a Class III hitch or can be fitted with one.

hit it and quit is right in line with the adult activities a minivan is perfect for.

Volkswagen California 🚘

How about the new VW California? To bad, the "California" won't be sold in California...or the U.S. for that matter.
