Good frame to build on?
 

Looking for advice on a good frame to build on. Good BB, preferably alloy.

Price range? Intended use? Goals?

Budget? Discipline? What is a "good" BB to you?

For the purposes of this conversation until told otherwise I will assume we are talking about an all-purpose road racer. I just don't know how to beat the Workswell R-066, BBright BB and all. $450 delivered to your door with extra goodies thrown in. Lighter than it has a right to be. Very good looking if you can tolerate blacked out. Great ride. Stupid good value.

I have no idea what constitutes a good BB, this is why I am asking.
I want to build up an 11 spd with 165mm compact crank, 11-34 casette, to have a good climbing bike that can be used all around.

Would like to have total build not exceed $2500, but less than that would be cake...

Good BB? Which one?

you're the one who said good bottom bracket. how can it be a requirement if you don't know what you even mean by that? There are many standards and many make and model options for each standard. You can also pretty much adapt any crankset to work with any frame's bottom bracket standard. I would just start with a frame you like and go from there. For alloy Cannondale CAAD is usually the first choice. The Allez Smartweld is another great option or Canyon or Kinesis

Good BB? Anything not press fit?

Mind you, this sure looks like a nice frame set. The Specialized allez sprint which now comes with a front derailleur hanger and only $1,100.
