Handlebar?
 

Hi guys , i broke with bike many years ago.... now i'm starting again.

After some runs i noticed an ugly sensation on my hand, seems there is not too space on the handlebar.
the old one was long 400mm , so i buyed a new one but this time an 440 version.

Here the difference from the old: (the numbers are the grip point.)

Do you think is too big for my body measure?

Do you think i made a mistake?

Handlebars being too narrow would cause shoulder and neck discomfort. Hand pain is likely either a bad fit of having death grip on the bars constantly.

If you just started riding again, likely you are not used to holding yourself up with your legs and core, and are supporting most of your weight with your hands, which wuill cause pain and numbness. You might need to raise the bars some until your core (stomach and lower back) and legs get used to ridding again. A wider or narrower bar shouldn't have that much affect on your hands.

mmm , that explain a lot!
Mostly after a ride i had a spine/neck discomfort.
On my hand is not a really "discomfort" is a sensation of a lack of space on the handlebar.

My bar is already raised to max :(
on the past years i focused a lot on the bike weight , now i'm revisiting my confort (since the real weight is tooo far away from the paper calculation).
I ordered a new saddle (SMP stratos clone , sadly a clone becouse the cost of the original product is way too high) and the new handlebar.

I'll post an image of myself on the bike , an opinion is always appreciated.
