Edge 1000 owners with a power meter: do you ever see L/R balance drop?
I use Edge 1000 with a Powertap C1 power meter.
I've been seeing L/R balance drop in my Edge 1000 unit a lot recently. It would initially show XX% / XX% format for a while but then would suddenly change to just one number XX% format. When I upload the ride to Garmin Connect, in the graphs, it would show data points for L/R balance continued after the drop point but would not display the total average L/R balance in the summary at all as if there was no L/R balance data. On the Edge 1000 unit, as earlier, my ride details would only show one number in XX% format.
I asked DC Rainmaker and he suggested battery swap for the C1 which I did. It worked fine for a while and I started seeing more drops again so I switched the batteries again but it did not fix. So then I contacted Powertap and they sent me a replacement C1 and the replacement is having the same issue even after yet another battery swap so now I think it might be a problem with the Edge 1000 unit.
Does anyone else have similar issues? I have already started a case with Garmin but they seem very slow in their response so I don't have too much faith in them.
