Inspired to Ride Movie on Netflix Other Good Bike Movies?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Since everyone else has mentioned the good ones, I'll just pop in to say that I've watched the last 10 kilometers of the 2015 men's world championship about 80 times since it happened. It never gets old, and always forces me into a hard interval on the trainer.

I really like Thereabouts. Not the most traditional cycling flick, but worth a watch IMO. Here's the full 40 min vid.

I watched "Inspired to Ride" last night, the movie OP mentioned.

I enjoyed it. Obviously they had plenty of beautiful scenery to work with. The winds in the midwest were insane! Most of them were on relatively deep wheels with large frame bags, so it must have been a struggle to stay on the road.

The Canadian that finished 2nd was trying to do the entire trans-America route on a liquid diet using meal replacement powder ("Spizz" is what he called it). That just seems like a terrible idea.

I also kept wondering how often they washed their bibs. Seems like most people had only 1 or 2 pairs of shorts with them the entire time, the saddle sores must have been out of control.

Anyway, it made me want to set out on a 10+ hour journey. We'll see if that ever happens.

By the end they all looked pretty grimy. I doubt they washed anything the entire time.

Best Movie on Cycling I've Seen So Far, Now on Netflix.

The Tragedy of Marco Pantani is now in Netflix.

It's about Pantani, but it captures so much great footage and information about the Giro and the TDF. His story is of course amazing (given his severe crash) and his ability to climb but the footage of the Giro and TDF is equally amazing.
