Addiction L8

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I prefer to call my trike a three wheeled recline-o-cycle.

My wife calls it my fruit trike and a girl in my club calls it a cockroach bike.

Frankly I don't want hordes of the 41 in this thread, and I'm sure I speak for more regulars than just myself. This thread, in case you haven't noticed, has a peaceful, laid back atmosphere, dominated by mature, long-time regular members that like to keep it that way. It's a special place, an oasis so to speak, that is special particularly because most of the 41 doesn't come in here with all that 41 baggage. Mature is the key word. Mature, and low key, two things not normally found in the 41.

So please don't provide any special reason for the 41 to come in here.
I'm not sure what you think it is... it's just a club for people in this thread. If we have a link for it on the first page, the only people that will see it are people who already participate in addiction. I'm not advertising it anywhere else. It's not like all of strava is going to come flooding in here.

If I were to start a thread for it, THEN we'd get all the yahoo's from the 41 coming in. In fact, we should make a rule not to mention it outside of this thread at all. Secret clubs are more fun anyways.

Hey but if you don't want any posts about it, then, fine, I won't.

So generous.

Why do you need to do it on the front page of the new thread? You already did it a few pages back. Announce it again, here, if you like, I just don't want to advertise it on the 1st page of a new thread, for the reasons mentioned.

Then the only people that will know about it will be the people that have been around addiction forever. If it's on the front page than any newcomer will still know about it for the next month. If anywhere but on page 1, then nobody new will ever see it. We all had to start somewhere.

It's no big deal, I can live without.

I do a lot of bike and hikes. I should do better separating the riding from the walking, but it's complicated

Tried to run a 10k tonight but didn't even get close. Made the mistake of bringing the phone with no tunes on it.

Maybe next time...

I did ride ~20 miles to and back from soccer practice, but used my other bicycle, so that ride didn't make it to Strava. I kept 30mph on that one.
