Junior Cyclist
Hello my name is Nicholas Landy,
Currently living in Atlanta, Georgia. I am coming from competitive running, threw out the weeks I have been told that I have young talent and skill for the sport that I have entered. "I have the engine" for competition. I just recently purchased my Scott CR1 20 and love it so far! I've been riding for a little over a month riding with my local shop group rides. Staying with the top A group guys averaging a 20-23 mph pace. Guys have been telling me to look into racing and I have no clue where to start my first race. If anyone has feedback or recommendations that would be great!

Maybe ask around the other cyclists who you ride with on your local shop ride? Around here, usually the local crits have juniors races before the main cat racers start. You could see if there's anything like that around you or just jump into a junior crit. Search around for local Facebook groups and I suspect you can find out more local races.
Anyways, good luck! Sounds like you have a natural ability for cycling.

How old are you?
If < 16 lookup and get involved with these folks Frazier Cycling - Juniors Cycling Team, Juniors Coaching, Juniors Cycling
If older and starting now, still look them up, but the kids are very competitive. You may want to just start adult racing. Rules are you will have to be on different gears than the adults.

Are you in college or about to be? If so, check if your school has a cycling club. Otherwise, ask those guys you ride with and/or the local shops, they will know. Also check here:
