I'm not sure I understand your point. I'm not a medical doctor and I have no medical advice to give, much less here!

Try to go to a competent chiropractor. I crashed and went the next day and I had no more soreness two days after the crash. You'll be amazed at how important the spine is to healing.

OP- I know of someone who had a completely unexplained crash in similar circumstances to you. He lost consciousness and came to with EMTs and passerbys tending to him. Bike seemed to be in good condition like yours, no witnesses.

After being treated at the ER and getting home, he noticed that one of the shifters had some brown animal hair lodged in it. Based on where he crashed, the only explanation that makes sense is that a deer jumped out from the hedge and collided with him at speed.

I had experience similar to yours

25 years ago on a fixed gear. I was taken down by a flock of geese that crossed the road right in front of me. I woke up with parameds around me and had no idea where I was or how I had gotten there. 3 days in hospital and loss of use of my right arm for seven months.

Thanks for sharing a sobering story, and I hope you heal quickly. I've heard this kind of story before, too- just riding along, and you wake up by the side of the road wondering what happened. Scary.

A previous poster is correct, though- if you have a concussion, stay off the screen for a while. My wife had a concussion from an accident a few years ago, and didn't get this advise soon enough- using a computer caused headaches, etc., and delayed her recovery.

Has alien abduction been fully ruled out? Happened to me once and I have no recollection of 2009

Sorry about your accident! Of course the recovery is painful, but luckily you didn't need surgery.
Could be there was a dog involved? A friend of mine had a nasty fall when a dog crossed in front of him, the dog ran away apparently unharmed.
I had a memory loss similar to yours years ago - I was just riding along the white line, heard a screech, next thing I knew I was on my back looking at trees and sky, didn't know where I was or how I got there. Someone said "Don't move, you were hit by a car, the ambulance is coming". Turns out a zigzagging drunk driver hit me from behind, I flew into the air, was uncounscious for about 5 mins, people thought I was dead at first. Consequencies were comparatively minor, broken scapula, bruises and road rash all over. I never remembered that crash, and I think it's better that way.
