Using a helmet for the first time, adjusting
Hello, I trying different helmets and I find them a little heavy in the fore front, a bit annoying, like I am holding the hemet a little bit. Is this normal? should I look for a helmet without that feeling? maybe I am not adjusting the helmets well.

There is usually a knob at the back that tightens the helmet wrt the circumference of your head OR maybe the helmets you are trying is too big for you. They come in different sizes as well S-M-L ((i.e Giro).

I've noticed that different brands of helmets fit different shaped heads. It's not just the size you need to take notice of, it's the internal shape as well.
Seems like you're saying that the helmet feels front heavy to you. That's not always the fitting, sometimes that's the enormous plastic visor that some helmets come with. |
make sure you're not wearing it backwards. seriously.

I am using the wheel and these are road helmets with no visor, it must be a fit issue
|
Glad to hear your using a helmet now. When I see people biking without a helmet I cringe! Last year I had a crash and if I hadn't had a helmet on I'm sure I would of been seriously injured or worse.

The more expensive helmets have more adjustments for head size and shapes. Mine is the old Catlike Whisper but the new Mixino is even better for adjustments.
My two Catlike helmets are light as a feather and adjustments for my fit as good as the Giro that I also have. |
