Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

So, I bought the watch... It also has live tracking which I'm hoping will smooth over the purchase some. She's always worried about me being dead or whatever when I ride. Now she'll know.

10,000 years ago the Egyptians treated cats like royalty. Cats have never forgotten that.

You should have told him he could go outside and get his own damn rabbit.

Not that anyone cares, but the Vivomove is synching with Garmin Connect again! Seems they fixed the issue last night.

Which one is this that has the live track feature?

Edit: I found it. Let me know what you think of the VivoActive.

We could never get anyone to turn it off at work and we'd come in in the morning to find black sludge on the inside bottom of the pot from where it was partly burned on.

So far so good, but all I've done with it is sync to my phone and set it up. Tonight is trivia night so I won't get to check it out in action until tomorrow when I go for a run.

That's happened here before, but most everyone checks that before they leave.

So, now I have a watch telling me I need to get up and move. I guess walking to get coffee/water and to the bathroom isn't enough to clear it.

I live in the big city. The closets rabbits are maybe 6-7 blocks away, but I do occasionally get possums and 'coons in my alley and on the wall surrounding my deck. Plus, he's a lazy fellow. He's sit by his wet food bowl and make me move it into a pile so he doesn't have to work to get it from around the edges. I sometimes tell him I am going to toss him back out on street so he can remember how hard life used to be, but then he rubs against my legs and I forgive him.

I actually related more to the first part of the post. We have some situations like that at my job. Lots of family ties throughout the company. There is one guy who works here who is a nephew to the owner of the business. They moved him from a manufacturing type role to the office when he graduated about a year ago. I have talked to the people up front and they have no idea what his actual title/responsibilities are and he apparently comes and goes as he pleases.

I just try to do my job well and take pride in the design and builds I do. I don't have time to tattle on everyone who slacks off. That and "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." Can't exactly get all high and mighty when I'm posting on BF during work.

I can get used to this tapering thing. The hill climb I did over the weekend had me seriously considering turning around and coasting to my truck. The crit on Sunday made me happy, as my bike handling and pack comfort is better than before I broke my hip. Top ten without really working for it, because falling down was something I didn't want to do prior to an out of town race.

An hour Z1 on the TT bike tonight, 30/30's tomorrow night, another hour on the TT bike on Thursday, and hopefully my legs will be cracklin' for the TT on Friday. TT will be openers for the crit on Saturday, which will be openers for the RR on Sunday.

Yay Bikes!

Just shake your wrist for a minute, it'll go away.

Be careful though, sitting at your desk like this all day might get you some odd looks.

I'm still pleased as punch about my Ford Flex. I guess their sales are horrible and they're planning to end production on them after 2017.
