strange fit issue with bids

Hello, I been using Castelli Free aero race bid for a month, this is my first bid and the fit is been until now

When I stand up in the bike while pedaling, and go close to the tip of the saddle, the fabric in the chamois area get caught and pressed against the tip of the saddle

Is this normal? should I size down? the fit seemed tight to me all this time.

Would you guy know the cause of this?

I haven't experienced this with my pair. Sizing down is certainly an option, but maybe slide ever so slightly before getting out of the saddle is another option if the fit is otherwise fine.

Hello there! I have the Castelli free aero shorts, which I believe are the same bottom-wise to the bibs, and they are tight enough that they don't do what you describe with regards to "grabbing" the front of the seat.

I do however have older shorts which do that, and it's really annoying!!! I thought they were the right size when I bought them, but I since realized they were at least one size too big :)

So yes, I would say size down! It may feel very tight at first, but once you position your "manhood" properly (hehehe) in there, you get used to it and you feel comfortable.

Hope this helps,

Geoff

Yes, thanks, I think thatīs the reason

Which pad do you have? I had this issue with the Castelli Team shorts with the KISS pad last season. Not just annoying, but potentially dangerous in a race situation.

Free race aero have the progetto 2 air chamois or whatever they call it.

I have two pair from different model years, never experienced any snagging or grabbing. They fit very snugly.
