Another Garmin question.
I'm sure I could look this up, but I'm gonna be lazy and just ask here, in case someone has an easy, quick answer. Is there a way to use a Garmin (I have the Edge 500) to try and hit a time-goal for a particular ride or course? I know if I create a course out of a previous ride or segment of a ride, I can run the course on the Garmin and it will track my time difference on the fly to that previous course. But I want to preset a time goal for this course and then run that, with the same on the fly feedback, telling me how far behind (time and distance) I am from this goal.
Basically, it should be almost the same thing as creating a course for the Garmin, only instead of using an actual saved ride, I'd set the time goal I want to achieve ahead of time. |
So basically you want the Strava live functionality on newer Garmins

If I understand you right, make a course and put a speed/pace inside of it. Then the virtual partner will tell you how far ahead or behind you are.
