Made a Strava web app that compares wind speeds in segments
Hi, so I made a Strava web app that lets you compare how wind affected each person on a segment's leaderboard! You can check it out here, let me know what you think! Thanks a lot

The "My API Application" doesn't appear in my Strava settings page. How do you make that option appear?

If they made this a premium feature I'd be seriously disappointing. It worked a short while ago, I got all my friends to use it. In fact, I don't have a paid account either so clearly it worked...

It's a cool project but I'm not sure of its usefulness or even its reliability. You don't have to even be smart to realize that there are so many factors not taken into consideration here such as localized wind barriers like mountains or trees, drafting, buildings, hills, valleys, structures (natural and man-made) that alter the course of wind. I like it, don't get me wrong, and I think it's great...but not sure how usable or accurate the information is on specific segment.

I always just assume that anyone that does a segment or KOM faster than me had a monsoon-like tailwind... And I had a headwind.

I like using Strava, but don't quite get this level of involvement. I mean, weather variables are just one of many uncontrollable factors in relative rank placings, so what's the big deal? What do we do with that information? Resent the KOM because they had a tail wind? Feel cheated because you had a headwind? I'm not seeing the constructive application of the info, I guess.
