First new bike in 14 years!

After daily riding my Kestrel 500EMS for 14 years, I finally pulled the trigger on a new rig! I've been contemplating a new road bike for sometime now, but I finally gave in and made the purchase. 2016 Look 795 Pro Team. I was able to get an outstanding deal on it, so I couldnt pass it up! I go in this weekend to get fitted. Cant wait!

My Kestrel is equipped with Ultegra 9-speed, vs the new 11 on the Look. The Kestrel also has 650c wheels with road geometry, vs the 700c on the new bike.

Wow, looks really nice. The Look website talks about the aero stem. Is that a custom stem in addition to the seatpost as well?

• INTEGRATED AEROSTEM
The 795 boasts fully integrated carbon AEROSTEM.
This stem is made of carbon, it is very light and above all it boasts aerodynamic properties since the traditional cap is replaced by a clamp. Advantages: the clamp screws are “concealed” behind the handlebar and the clamp is very thin. This feature, combined with a more fluid design, endow this stem with a better drag coefficient, hence its name: AEROSTEM.
Combined with the 795, it represents the best possible integration. In actual fact the adjustment range remains very wide: from + 17° to -13° which equates to 57 mm of adjustment for a length of 110 mm without hindering the integration.

Congrats! The LOOK looks bad a$$
It also took me 14 yrs to upgrade from my old Ti road bike with Ultegra 9sp to a BH Ultralight RC (carbon frame) with Force 22.
I was blown away by how much the development of road bike has come along.

Oh Nice! Yea, totally agree, the road bike has come a long way in 14 years! My Kestrel weighs in a tad over 20 lbs, that was fairly light back in the day. This one I believe is just under 16 lbs. I'll have to check when I go in Saturday.

Got fitted last saturday. I cringed as Dan Rock, took the saw to cut my seatpost to size. These guys at Revolution Bikes in Solana Beach, Ca are definatelty a class act! They know their stuff, and I see alot of pride in what they do. I didnt get to take the bike home yet, as I had to bring my Kestrel in so that they could duplicate my riding position onto the new bike, and I didnt have room for both bikes in my car. I should be picking her up this weekend!

Recusant Iconoclast
Looks awesome (no pun intended). Now it deserves deeper wheels.
That Look ADH handlebar is pricey and rare.
