Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Wheel storage victory

Having become afflicted with wheelset acquisition syndrome (W.A.S.),

conditions were becoming difficult.

With some fuss & bother, this solution appeared,

& is working well.

This is a little absurd. You could easily have shipped me a couple of pairs of those wheels for less time and $$ than that ceiling rack.

There's still another wheel under your desk. You have issues.

This is a discovery? Folks have been hanging wheels from the ceiling since bicycles were invented. I remember it well. My advice is do not file for a patent.

I don't know...

That desk balanced on 4x4's looks very unsafe. Reinforcing it with an old 36 spoke 3-cross wheel underneath is brilliant though. Just don't try that with carbon.

Is that bar tape on the pump?

For the tires, you can see in the pic a garden hose hanger with tires on it.

I'm looking for a matching one & have two on the wall.

Yes- bar tape on the pump. Left overs from the bar wrap. Splash tape haters look away.

My GF went out with a guy years ago, who I happen to know,

who jokingly told her "Don't touch my bike or I'll cut you up in pieces."

It was a red flag....
