Looking for a carbon handlebar
 

Hey all, looking for a carbon handlebar. I prefer shallow reach/drop, like the FSA wing pro alloy, and I do not want internal routing. Vibration dampening is one of the main reason I am looking, and I would like to find a good deal, of course. Any suggestions? Enve would be my preference to match my fork, but I am open to others as well. Thanks!

Bontrager has the new iso.... Bars that are used in the new Romans SLR.

Been riding an Easton EC70 for a few months, it replaced the stock Al bar on my Emonda. As far as a comfort upgrade, I'll put it nearly equal to the "right" seat. I do feel the bar flex under heavy load (for me). Probably not nearly as nice as the Bontrager Pro IsoCore claiming 20% greater vibration reduction, but budget friendly from Nashbar http://www.nashbar.com/bikes/Product...2_587101_-1___ .

Opps...originally posted model number for the wrong bar. Should be EC70 not EA70. Edited to correct. There is an aero version.

If you already like the FSA Wing Pro, buy a K-Wing in carbon.

Thanks for the advice guys! I have used other "shallow" shapes, so I am not married to the FSA, and the K-wing, while awesome, is internal. FSA does have a cheaper version without the internal, however. I'll check out that Easton for sure.

Take a look at the Zipp Contour SL as well.. if I had wanted carbon I would have gone that way. Aesthetically, their logos are a bit much; not sure why they don't seem to offer the 'beyond black' color scheme like they do in their alloy offerings.

I have Enve road bars and love them. They're better at dulling the road buzz than I expected when I bought them.

Good to hear. I actually snagged a set of new bike take offs on eBay, hopefully they come in in perfect shape as advertised.

+1. I have the same handlebars. Light, comfortable, and relatively inexpensive.

Do not buy a K-Wing Carbon, unless you want a bar that flexes horribly in the drops. If you want that, then yes, buy a K-Wing Carbon.

I like the current offerings of "aero" road bars....Enve, Zipp, Easton, 3T, Specialized and others.

There's also the SL3 which is MUCH cheaper, especially with the Nashbar coupons that are always out.
Easton EC70 SL3 Carbon Road Handlebar

I have a Ritchey WCS Carbon Evolution handlebar on my road bike that I like. It's mounted to an alloy Ritchey Comp stem. I don't think my handlebar model is made any more. But you might check the current Ritchey models to find one you like.
