Deal of a Century!!!
I just picked up a Schwinn from Craigslist. A Varsity I think. The owner told me it was all made in good ol' USA, every part, I kid you not! This is a high quality bike of serious pedigree. I'm sure the racer ppl in Tour de France would be using these very bikes if they weren't being persuaded by other bike companies. Seriously through, you really need to pick one (or 10) of these up before prices sky rocket!!!

Schwinn Varsity is a great exercise tool .... ride it for the lower body work out, pick it up to work the upper body.

You think your Schwinn is cool? I have an aluminum Huffy race bike. The tubes are so thin, they had to pinch the stays on the rear dropouts because the heat of welding would of damaged the aluminum.

Is that a new manufacture bike?
Huffy did make a bike that looked like it was run over by a steam roller.

I remember back in the day, I was trying to get my stepfather to buy me a Schwinn out of the '79 catalog. I wanted the "Caliente" because it had index shifting.
But in typical stepdad fashion, he got me a Huffy instead (a "Santa Fe"). Didn't matter. I still rode the wheels off the thing.

probably the most popular gas pipe bike ever made.
If you got a deal of the century, I hope you paid less than 10 bucks for it.

I hope he found the frame tubing stuffed full of $100 bills. Because paying anything for a Varsity is overpaying, IMO. I once bought two for $20 from Goodwill just to practice wrenching on. Awful bikes is almost every way but at least I learned something and somehow managed to sell both afterwards for a little more than I paid (and now in serviceable condition, too).
