What should I offer to the tire gods?
Two blown tires in the last 2 weeks, both tubeless and happened on regular roads no sign of debris or gravel or glasses or other sharp objects. Both cuts are big enough as to beyond patching. About $100+ down the drain just like that - one is Vittoria Corsa Speed G+ and the other is Schwalbe Pro One
So why the punishment, tire god? And do I get some reprieve for a few months?

I just got these and was testing them, and this happened. So I am actually conflicted now: they are fast, serious fast, but they are so thin, and based on this evidence, I am not sure if I could trust it for races if it's not on some prestine roads.

One of the cycling websites (Bike Radar maybe) stated during a review that Vittoria recommends them for time trials only. I haven't seen that claim anywhere else so I don't know the veracity of it, but I have heard that they are paper thin just as you say.

Not any worse than the Corsa Evo CXIII's and they do ride a little better. I'm sure that's what they are replacing.As far as a time trial tire never heard that and the website does not say that or didn't when they first came out. My impression is it's their top tier race tire.

Here's the review I was referring to. As you say, no mention of it on Vittoria's website. I'm considering getting myself a set next season, although I might just go cheap and get some Turbos when Specialized does their 2x1 thing again.
In fairness, Vittoria hardly pitches the Corsa Speed as a viable everyday option, suggesting that they should only be used for time trials. I’d say that warning is justified given that it didn’t take long for a sliver of glass to go through the rear tire. Later inspection revealed plenty of other little shards embedded elsewhere, both front and rear, circling like buzzards waiting for a window of opportunity.

Good review but my experience has been. Quite favorable as a daily tire. I would not use it for winter here but that's any race tire.

Anyone have experience with the Rubino Speed G+?
BicycleRollingResistance.com claims they are lighter than the Corsa Speed G+ and at $28.34 (Ribble) I am likely going to try a pair.
Like the Corsa's, I have concerns about durability but am hopeful that they handle like a high end tire.

I have been a tubeless convert and advocate for a long time... but I am reconsidering that position now. The difficult upfront installation and the hassle of fixing a flat mid-ride seem to not justify whatever the value propositions tubeless offered.

I make offerings of parchment with the images of sainted leaders imprinted upon them.

Had one of these blow out the sidewall for no apparent reason just yesterday. I was standing over the bike setting my GPS getting ready to ride, and 
. No previous damage to the tire, inflation was within spec, less than 500 miles on them. Just glad it was before I took off, and not on a hard curve or something equally bad.

I suggest you try a pair of inexpensive Vee Apache Chief, and give it another go. Spending half as much on rubber, and hopefully getting more durability and mileage, should restore your sense of security and appreciation of the qualities of tubeless.
