Trek BB90 creaking noise - upgrades?
picked up an emonda sl6 pro. currently has around 550 miles and the bottom bracket creaks. i know press fit is pretty common and this is a trade off.
has anyone upgraded their bearings or pressfit? has it dampened the noise? any noticable improvements from the upgraded bearings?
thanks in advance.

not entirely no but when i took it in a few weeks ago they also lubed all moving parts including crank arm. i plan to have them look it over again next week but thought about planning ahead. my other bike is a PF30 which has basically the same noise minus the popping from the bearings.

Loctite 609. I had a minor creaking issue on my old Madone, and using some loctite fixed the problem. Of course you have to have the tools and knowledge how to remove the bearings and apply the stuff, but just upgrading the bearings isn't going to do anything. The problem is the interface between the bearing races and the bb shell. Different bearings likely will do nothing to alleviate the problem.
