Kask helmets: 50 vs Rapido vs Mojito

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Kask helmets: 50 vs Rapido vs Mojito

Found a few good prices online. The 50 and the Rapido are at ~ $65 in Amazon. The Mojito sells for ~ $200, but in eBay there are a few @ $100.

Can anybody compare these three? I basically use the road bike to commute or 30 min to 1 hour workouts. I wonder which of the first two you'd choose at same price, and if it's worthy to spend the extra $35 for the Mojito. Also, at that price (50-100), would you rather get another brand?

+1 for the rapido, it's got the same weight as the mojito (size M), and doesn't make a mushroom head unlike the giro

Is the Mojito at $100 worthy compared against a $65-75 Rapido?

my thought, only you can be the judge of that ? it's your $100.00. i tried them all on and loved the kask fit and feel, the rapido was in my budget range and i don't regret it. if the more $$$ helmets are better or the same you can't go wrong. 4 months with mine and looks and feels like new.

I can't compare the models, but I have a Mojito and love it. Light, comfortable and feels like it isn't there.

I bought it through Amazon, but beware...Bikewagon (vendor) shipped me two clearly damaged helmets. They were labeled "damaged" and both were delaminating and looked bad. I finally found another vendor through Amazon and got a good one.

I would never purchase anything from Bikewagon again.

Commuting you say? Go with the 50, save the bucks and you still get the great Kask fit. Excellent helmet.
