Is there any more information on Canyon Bikes arriving in the US?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hello All,

Just as the title says, is there any more information on Canyon Bikes arriving in the US?

I'm very interested in Canyon bike and read for them to ship to the US.

They'll arrive in 2017, and your order will arrive 12 months later, and will be the wrong size frame.

Yeah, I wouldn't hold my breath for a Canyon bike until I see them actually shipping and hear reports of people actually receiving their bikes. They have some interesting offerings but they are not different enough, or cheaper enough, to consider going through the trouble as opposed to just buying something else. If you want to save money at least with BD you know you'll get your bike at some point.

I'm watching too and as pessimistic as the other posters.

I happen to like the look of their bikes and I think (?) that typically they run about 30% less than comparables from the usual suspects given their direct-to-consumer model.

We'll see.

might be faster to buy one from Koblenz, ride it across Siberia, wait for the Bering Strait to ice over, then take it to your final destination

Been hearing about imminent arrival for a very looong time. Too many good choices already here to wait for that.

If you are on the market right now, I'd go ahead and buy something else. If you are ok waiting at least a year from now to put your hands on it, then I think they make amazing bikes and they are really as good as any of the "big" brands. My buddy owns an endurace and likes it a lot. The only problem he had was with the terrible headset / stem design, but since then he replaced it with a standard stem / headset and it's all good now.

lol

I would be willing to buy-ship one if there wouldn't be too much work involved.

I've got my eye on an Endurace 8.0 SLX and will likely pull the trigger as soon as they're available.

My son called dibs on my current ride and the new bike fund is inching up a bit every paycheque so I'm good to go.

Lots of good bikes I could buy but I seem to be drawn to things slightly out of my reach.

I've been eyeing the same one but I'm growing impatient and skeptical after hearing about others' experience with Canyon. Anyone ride a Rose? The ROSE X-LITE CDX-3000 for € 3.199,00 has a very impressive spec, comparable to the Endurance SLX. Big differences, it comes with Carbon wheels and can be shipped to the USA NOW!

They have problems filling orders for the markets they're already in. Good luck getting a Canyon when they add U.S. to the list. You'll be waiting a long time for your bike.

I figure I'll be ready for a new bike in 4-5 years, so this may be the perfect time to order one

They're coming - for sure. Timing would be the issue. If you're asking because you might possibly "hold out" then don't. Purchase and move on.

We have a Canyon on the team but he had to work super hard to get it. He loves it....but he has to act as an international importer in order to get it.

Lol, that made me chuckle. *wistful sigh.

I'm really hoping they make good on their marketing promises to be here by 2017 as I'm looking to upgrade around then and a Canyon would make an awesome addition.

I saw one in Madison WI the other day. Strange, I've never heard of a "Huffy" model, though. Must be US-only?
