Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This just arrived, it'll be a first "proper bike" for the teenage niece. A 1999 Bianchi "Lite Alloy", full Campy Veloce 9-speed, with a triple. Original wheels, seatpost, and saddle; matching (to the wheels) blue LOOK pedals. I can't believe the state of it, looks like it was ridden for a summer in 2000, then put on a shelf.

Last edited by ridelikeaturtle; 02-20-19 at 12:39 PM. Reason: Found "99" on seatpost, I think it's a 1999 model.

Infinitos

I had a 2011 Infinito that I rode the heck out of but then ended up selling. Of course, I regretted that decision so I had to get a 2018... All is well in the universe now.

Happened to find a 2007 928 Lugged with Record 10 speed and Chorus Ultra-torque crank a few weeks back. Couldn't be happier with my first Bianchi.

All the paint is a fresh as shown in this taken taken before I cleaned it up.

Thanks! Actually sold this to a friend at work looking for a decent road bike. I still get to see it a lot since he rides it to work a few times a week.

But I do still have a crazy green bike in the stable to replace it.
