Specialized Roubaix owners: gather up!

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Looks great! Are there spacers to adjust the height of the headset? If so how does that work with the future shock?

Thanks!

I'm not 100% positive about this (my attention was unfortunately elsewhere when the shop owner was explaining this particular detail), but from what I recall you can adjust about 20 mm (?) of the position of the clamps over the shock cartridge. Before hearing this I was under the impression that you could only adjust your position over the handlebars by varying the stem's length and angulation and/or the handlebars, so I was a bit surprised to know that the headset proper can be adjusted.

I have to get back to the LBS this week and I'll be certain to ask about this.

Here's my 2011 SL2. Originally had 5700 compact. Replaced it with 7900. Doesn't get used much. Not the most practical of bikes in my lot.

I only have have "parking lot experience" with the 2015/16 SL4, but the new 2017 has a stiffer frame and geometry is quite different (in numbers at least).
