Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Specialized Allez fit

I am looking to buy a second "cheap" frame for a commuter/back up. There is an 00 Specialized Allez with traditional geometry that I can get for cheap from a guy out of state. It is a 54cm, but I can't look at it because it's about 4 hours away, one way. My friend that knows the guy was going to bring it home with him in a month or so when he visits me.
My Fuji is a 56. Anyone know if these two are comparable? I know I ride a 54 on a C'Dale if that helps. I can't find the specs on the Specialized that far back. I am going to try and go to the LBS that stocks Specialized, but I think the new Allez is a compact.

Thanks for any insight.
