Felt FR40 vs. Specialized Allez
Had a look at a couple aluminums today. They were both affordable but with lower level components than I'm really looking for. However, I liked both. For me, the Felt was more aggressive and seemed to almost ride itself. It was also a bit lighter. I found the Specialized a hair more comfortable but a tad sluggish. Any preferences between these two bikes? I'm leaning towards a preference for the Felt. Don't know much about them as a brand though. Thanks for any feedback!

Neither, Trek Emonda ALR or Cannondale CAAD 12, but really, just get CAAD 12. I don't see there being any option right now, just CAAD 12 if you want AL.
If I had to choose, I'd choose FR40 just for aesthetics. That is a sleek looking bike. But I'd still get the CAAD 12 instead. If only those two bikes were the choices, I'd still choose CAAD 12.
Gun to my head, FR40 or Allez, I'd choose CAAD 12 and take the bullet.

I hear you. But man, that FR40 was aggressive. I mean, way faster and lighter than a bike in that price range should be. Just made the Allez feel like riding a sofa. I'm sure it doesn't match the CAAD in terms of quality, but I would be curious about a head to head well-equipped match up between the CAAD 12 and these new FR bikes.

FR 30? It has higher end components and same position. FWIW, I find my Allez fairly aggressive (for me) with the stem not inverted, and one could easily take out spacers too.
Really, though, any name brand should have nice bikes. I

You can get that Felt in a more comfortable geo (a taller Head Tube) in the "Endurance" line--e.g., a carbon "VR" instead of a "FR" or, for an alloy frame, the "Z"
