Bikeinn.com experiences?

Anyone used bikeinn.com before? The prices are stellar on some stuff. I'm wondering where they're based out of in case I need to return something.

I ordered a Fizik Arione R1 and some Tacx Deva cages from them late last year. Ordered 11/11, shipped 11/16. Delivery was as prompt as can be expected from overseas. I'd use them again with little concern.

smarkinson 02-24-17 11:23 PM

I like Google maps street view to see if the place actually exists.

Looks like the address from Shimagnolo whois domain search is real and it looks like Tradeinn does operate from there:

BradH 02-25-17 07:37 AM

I purchased a couple cassettes from them. No issues. I will use them again.

kcblair 02-26-17 06:27 PM

I recently bought a FSA chain ring ($27 US including shipping)not realizing they were located in Spain. About 10 days to east coast. Tracking number was provided, I'd use them again, if not in a hurry. KB

cycledogg 02-27-17 09:07 AM

I would like to use them but the shipping seems a bit high compared to other oversea suppliers.

dalava 02-27-17 09:33 AM

They are good, bought a lot stuff over the years including bike and swimming gears. Delivery is as expected form an oversea retailer, i.e. don't expect Amazon Prime speed.

Autobot 03-18-17 11:01 PM

I used them when I lived in Japan as the prices in Yen were amazing compared to USD. Fast shipping, and great service. I would deff order form them again

Sorry for the bump, but I ordered some Ergon grips from bikeinn during Black Friday that had a delivery window of 12/11 - 12/18 (yesterday). The package tracking link to tradeinn.com that they sent me has the last update on 12/1 - "The item is at the PostNL sorting center." Trying to look up the number on various other package tracking sites and there's nothing there beyond that date either. Now I'm trying to use their order contact form to get this resolved...

I just made this account to say this. I ordered a pair of sunglasses from bikeinn about 2 months ago and they have still not arrived. After several calls to USPS I believe bikeinn got my street number wrong on the package and it is on the slow boat back to Spain.

They will not do anything till they get the package back so I either wait or make a claim on PayPal.

I am sure many people have good experiences, but when something goes wrong then you may be waiting a long time and dealing with a native Spanish speaker and USPS like I am.

I have used wiggle, Merlin, and other overseas companies. I had an issue with Merlin once (bought wheels that came with wrong hub - they gave me a partial refund to buy an adapter) and they were very professional and resolved issue fast.

Doge 12-19-17 05:48 PM

I ordered two Di2 connectors from them yesterday. They should be here Thurs.
Yea - 15g of product, $20 2 day envelope shipping.

Bike Inn is ok, I sent a return with no tracking and got my money back.

I had the same issue with Merlin actually. Got my address wrong, was redirected back to the UK and took over a month for them to get the item back in stock after it had passed back into the country! You can pretty much get anywhere in the UK within a day by car or train so it made no sense. Customer service was abysmal, and kept sending me the same automated reply about how they need the item back in stock to refund. The day after I called my credit card company, voila they sent the refund.

Lesson is, all these online retailers are the same. When it comes to refunds, they don't really go out of their way to help you out. Go for the best price, confirm that they have the item in stock and hope for the best.

I use them when the deal is too good to pass up. Shipping can be slow as mentioned but the deals can be worth it.

surak 12-20-17 12:20 PM

bikeinn replied saying there was some delay and that my package should hopefully get here end of next week. Only problem is that I go on vacation and won't be home to sign for the package, if that is something they require -- it's implied in their FAQ but does USPS bother?

Evil_Xenu 12-20-17 01:11 PM

If I were you I would contact my local post office directly and give them the tracking number and tell them to hold the package till you get back.

If the package gets sent back to Spain you may be SOL.

Wildwood 12-21-17 11:28 AM

I've been a customer of BikeInn and loved the prices on some items that I did not need for 2-3 weeks. I'm a west coast delivery.

Fiery 12-21-17 04:48 PM

Ordered a saddle, got a tracking URL next day with the expected delivery date. A day before the delivery date, no updates on the tracking URL, so I sent a query. Got a prompt response with the correct URL. The order arrived a day after the expected date. Reading other's experiences on various review sites, I would not order again unless it's a really good deal on something I really need, though not urgently.

mihlbach 12-22-17 05:45 AM

Ordered crankset and derailleurs...price was nice, but shipping took over a month. They seem fine if you're not in a hurry.

Good advice. Today my tracking finally had a new update: after 22 days at the sorting center it's coming to America, so not knowing exactly when it'll arrive I put in a hold mail request. I haven't done one in a while so was surprised how easy it was on USPS.com.

Doge 12-24-17 05:44 PM

I ordered a small part post #12. they then updated me and said the Warehouse didn't have it when they expected it and it would ship the 22nd and expect it by Dec 27.
I emailed back. They responded right away.
I received the part today, Sunday, Dec 24. I certainly was not looking for, or expected Sunday, or Christmas Eve delivery and not even sure I like that. But I did get it.

doubravsky 12-26-17 10:25 AM

I ordered a bag I couldn’t find anywhere else... took a good three weeks to arrive, with that same message coming up during the travel from Europe to us.... but they were responsive to my questions and the product arrived as advertised.

surak 01-08-18 11:02 PM

My Ergon grips finally arrived today. Were shipped on 11/29/17. Signature required, luckily my partner works from home. I probably won't be ordering from them again if there would be even a remote chance that I would be out of town in the subsequent 2 months.

Evil_Xenu 01-17-18 01:06 PM

I am glad to hear you got your stuff. I am still waiting for my order from last year and I just opened a case with PayPal. Tradeinn was sending me boilerplate emails saying they were looking into the shipping. I have wasted too much of my time trying to resolve it.

Bumping this thread again. Any recent experiences, good or bad, with using www.tradeinn.com/www.bikeinn.com, if time is not of the essence.

The prices of products on that site have been great.
