First metric (whew!)
 

Just finished my first metric century about 15 minutes ago. A solo ride with 20mph headwinds! Geesh!

Until now, my personal best was 50 miles on my hybrid. Today I did 66.5 miles on my new OCR2--Wow, what a difference!

Enough braggin'....time to start nappin'.....

Sssshhhhhhhhh...he's sleeping.

Quads were pretty tight and knees were getting a little sore. Mostly, though, I was just tired of the headwind.

Today, I feel pretty good. I think I'm going to set my sights on a full century about 4-5 weeks from now.

Sleep, sleeper ! Next day you may be an eater, followed by a bit of sleep then you're ready to ride again. I did my first century last summer, Hotter-N-Hell in Wichita Falls, TX and it was great. Did a fairly hilly 52 miles yesterday preceded by 18 beers (3 of us) the night before - not a good pre-ride regimen...oops! Good luck on your century ; you'll do great.
