Addiction LXV

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Not that I would, for multiple reasons.
I'd think it would only be noticeable when flipping the bike over, but I don't get to test ride them on the open road, so not sure.

Paris Roubaix coming up.

I believe a UCI rule modification is needed

For every fan who is too close to the course you run over, you get 1 second off your overall time. You get bonus .25 seconds if you are using disc brakes and it slices.

I believe this would make the race much more enjoyable to run.

Or maybe that's what domestiques are for. Blockers, run over the fans, clear the path for the race leaders. The additional obstacles and roughness of the ride will make it that much more exciting. May have to modify the bike further.

@Velo Vol I think the dampness has bothered me more this year than I can remember. Even at 50° or so, the chill is worse than the middle of winter with dryer air.

Yep. I was in Italy a few years ago and was similarly distracted by the weather ladies and even the sports ladies.

Maybe I should just move in with @seedsbelize. I'm still running my car heater on 70F+ days.

A friend of mine is smitten with the Stephanie Abrams lady on TWC. If you know whom I'm talking about, you probably know what attracts him.

Yo VV, I got a notice that you mentioned my name with regard to "rollerblading" in another addiction thread so I thought I'd pop in and say hi.

Speaking of Italian women, there was a DeLonghi ad some years ago that was superb. One gorgeous woman pitching a product on a plain stage. All in Italian. Couldn't understand a word of it. I don't even know what the product was. I think that was the point. Captivating. And I remember DeLonghi to this day.

Still rolling and still cycling. I've added kickboxing to the mix during the winter months. Cannot wait until decent weather comes so I can get out there and skate. Although I'm pretty certain I'll be cycling first. And how are you??
