That's crazy.

On riding days, the hard labor projects get deferred these days.

Serious cyclists recover seriously.

Faster than the last one (pace) on a harder, longer (TWSS) course. But I fell again, so my hands are bandaged (again) and I think I'm done with this trail running nonsense - too slow, too much risk of falling, not applicable enough to road running. Will just go run Town Lake doubles on the weekend for now.

19.9 miles is damn far, especially at that pace.

Don't you hate how Strava snatches the last 0.1 mile?

Harmonic balancer day today. I hope this is the last major bout of twisting wrenches on the minivan before we get to Phoenix.

It loses it's glamour once you wallow around in it, then it just becomes the present. Unless . . . unless you plan to stay. :twitchy:

I thought of you as I rode by Travel Town in Griffith Park yesterday. (Not my photos.)

The road runs parallel with the mini train ride, and it's fun to pace it.

Thanks... half of it was "technical", or as I like to call it "dirty Stairmaster". There was a man and woman I was pacing for a while before dropping the man and being dropped by the woman, and they'd take off on the nasty parts and I'd catch right up on the smoother, flatter sections.

We're probably going to go do the I Ran Marathons (half) in SA on Memorial Day. I don't want my hands beat up again...

When we lived in Merida, I used to pace (even race) the city buses. Those guys are such asses. Pass and cut you off for entertainment. I might be tbe only cyclist that played along, and lived to tell about it. My wife and my cycling friends, all of whom were afraid to ride at all in the city, of course told me I was nuts. One takes one's entertainment where one finds it.

At least you have decent weather. Are you going to play some Glen Campbell as you set off for that trip? Maybe take a side trip through Wichita?

BTW, thanks seedsbelize for leading me down the rabbit hole of past Addiction threads. Thunderstorms are here today, and I'm on a break between work shifts, and am now on page 133 of the "You Shall Covet" thread.

Whatever happened with LowCel? He had good taste in bikes.

The busses here change lanes and pass with care.

I try to wave a Thanks to them.

He posted in this edition recently. Had a bad wreck while riding a motorcycle on a racetrack and the injuries have kept him off bikes for a while now.

Mine as well. I don't remember Racer Ex posting. From Addiction to the 33.

He did a ride by posting in this version. I'm not sure about the earlier ones.

Could you post the URL? I'm archiving for future reading.

He is around but I believe recovering from a motorcycle accident.

Well trained, of course. In perfect health, great nose, extremely smart, and of course a natural guardian.

I might even consider delivering her personally, I have a few peeps I haven't visited in a long time. No extra charge. :)

But it's a full sized proper dog. Heathpack is looking for a half-dog.

Yep, I'm alive and wellish. Still recovering, it's been a long road and will continue to be. I hope to prove my therapist wrong since he said he doubts I'll ever do any really tough climbs again but he said it's good to have a goal. I was actually cycling up until the point of my most recent crash. My primary goal is to get back on a bicycle, secondary goal is to get back on a motorcycle.

Well, hi! I pop into this thread now and again, and seedsbelize inspired me to start reading some past Addiction threads- because, evidently, I have way too much time on my hands this weekend . Nice to meet you. Good luck with the rest of your recovery!
