Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

you keep posting pictures of things as if anybody disbelieves, and mentioning prices and brands as if anybody cares.

the gentleman was asking photos FROM the camera

For what..? To compare with a $15.00 P&S Sony..? Are you going to critique my photos and say those can be snapped with a Apple IPHONE..?

Apple IPHONE has a built in gyroscope so the photos usually appear in the correct orientation. Just sayin'

Why the insecurity?

As a photographer, I'm simply curious to see what kind of pics you've taken. It's not everyday I come across somebody who has spent upwards of $15k on a camera ... so I thought I'd ask.

Which leads me to ask: Do you actually use the camera? Or is it more of a bragging item (just like your bike collection)? Do tell.

@trekmogul...please respond. Very interested to see what you have to say.

Are you retired? What did/do you do? I think someone asked on another thread but you never responded.

What do you drive?

You should by the matching brakes (when they come out) and CS too.

Didn't Wigo use a chain that was several thousand $'s on a world record attempt? You may want to research and get one of those instead of SRAM.

Indeed. Only peasants use SRAM, not folks who have $20k cameras (and never use them, but I digress)

I wonder what the bar tape will be.

A local bike shop had some bar tape custom made from the hides of retired NBA basketballs for a build they did for our local sports team.

It looks awful (from a bike perspective — it's really neat, thematically!), it's dreadfully uncomfortable, and it's wicked expensive.

Good choice! I have used LS until recently...wanted to try SUPACAZ. Have you ever used it? Jury is still out but so far so good.

I don't get this arrogant attitude. You think anyone buying something nice must be all serious, all the time? I have a friend with a 100MP Phase One digital back, Alpha and Cambo view cam with all the high end German glass. The dude has zero talent but enjoys the process. What about the 80-year old who pops viagra and drives a half million dollar Ferrari? Do you have a problem with him not having Schumacher or Senna driving talent? Seriously weekend warriors criticizing others for not being serious enough. Jesus!

Hey, that's the same tape I use. I did just order some Supacaz, as I've heard great things and they offer a two-tone orange/black that should fit my bike's theme.

I'd think their blue/black might work well on the bike you're building:
