Funny that my taxi driver to the store to buy this wicked cheapo bike shook his head at my story about the contradictory info from Alitalia and said "typical". Only in Italy. 
Loving it here despite the very high temps and no A/C (104F)! October should be very nice.

What you could've done is order a canyon shipped to the hotel. Then, take it home in the same shipping box, and sell it in the US to recoup the costs
