I am to CDO to allow this to happen, sorry I'm no help.
If I am going to be late, I call in, guess I'm old school. (Thank you Sister Immaculata) |

Is that what those random underlined orange links are? They are really annoying.

Wow, I forgot how hard it is to keep up with this thread.
Got called to an emergency demo/presentation in downtown Dallas for work. What a pain. But in a week, I get to go and see NYC for the first time. I've got a work related site visit Friday morning and will be rolling in around noon on Thursday. Lots of stuff to see with the main target being Central Park. And as far as being late to doctors appointments, the worst moment was being in the middle of those two people. An upset patient and an upset receptionist. My wife had made appointments for teeth cleaning at the dentist she had gone to all her life. However, we lived over an hour away at the time. And then when it was clear we were running late, I called and it turns out we had the time wrong and there was zero way we were going to make it. So my wife was upset and the receptionist was audibly perturbed while I didn't really care as I thought the whole concept of driving that far out for a teeth cleaning was insane to begin with. |

I turned on the shortwave last evening, and didnt have the patience to look for the game. I had JJ Cale/ Leon Russel on at the time. Better than baseball.
My new keyboard is having trouble with the US/Intĺ. keyboard. The apostrophe functions only as an accent, so contractions dont work, until I figure out how to fix it. |
As for the orange links, the last two that I checked were for a mortuary in Peoria and a mobile home park in Peoria. That's a pretty specific hacker. :thumb:

Buzzing in late here, but I don't find that approach to be unreasonable. I am one of those people who loathe being right on time, much less late, so maybe I am too biased. I have a reputation in my local bike club for being a ride "start time Nazi." Too bad. The rides I lead are long and start far outside the city area. Don't want to be out there all day, and people may have things to do in the evening that require them to get home by a certain time. Showing up late is discourteous to participants who are timely. I used to joke that the only excuse I would accept is that you stopped at a highway rest stop to use the head, your girlfriend locked the keys in the car, you bought a souvenir from the gift shop, fashioned it into a makeshift slim Jim and were able to get the door open. That actually happened to two people during the drive to the start of one of my rides. The boyfriend was a used car salesman. |
