Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That was me before AG. Now I can cook and am a whole lot healthier. And leaner.

Make no mistake, I do not endorse fast food or takeout. We eat-in 95% of the time, using fresh ingredients or organic stuff we've grown ourselves.

This year we grew tomatoes, swiss chard, beets, kale, collards, spinach and garlic. And pears, a bumper crop of pears this year. Also rosemary, oregano, tyme and sage.

Even to make a fresh garden salad, you have to wash the lettuce even if store-bought and "pre-washed", peel & slice the cucumber, wash & slice the tomato, wash & slice the bell pepper, peel and slice the onion. Avocado is the least labor intensive of all salad fixings. Yaaay! And how many times have you sat down only to find you forget to grab the salad dressing?

There's times I wish we didn't have to eat at all.
Man you is weird. I guess I just never find any of that all that onerous, and it’s more than worth it for how it makes me feel vs something in a box. And I’d be extremely sad about not eating.

Like the idea of performance bike wheelset with 20% off code. I know we said that DB designates disc brakes. Not a one disc brake Reynolds set on there or what piece of information is just not clicking in my stubborn head.

Effectively puts it under the price of litebicyclewheels as well if there's 20% off on 1k

My LKS, the one where I picked up the Staub the other day, is having their big, annual knife sale on my bday in a couple weeks. Could be dangerous. Then again, their door-busters might not be much better than online deals. We shall see, though.

The other day I was thinking that I want a new set of knives. Can anyone recommend me on a good set of Chinabomb knives? Looking for the best bang-for-my-buck.

And speaking of pot roast, I just got home from running a few errands and it's always awesome to walk through door and have the smell of that slow-cooking roast remind you of what you have to look forward to for dinner. Mmmmm.

They are technically fruits, like tomatoes.

Well, I’d be happy to give some suggestions. What length are you interested in? Price? Stainless? Western handle or Japanese?

A set with a chef's knife, maybe a Santoku, something like a sausage knife, one or different paring knives and a carving knife. Don't want to break the bank. Never really appreciated the difference between handle style. As for length, I tend to like them on the long side.

Nope, not cold hardy. The cold-hardiest vegetable I know is spinach, amazingly tough grown in a hoop house or such where the snow won't fall directly on it. They hunker down through the freezes and soon as the light and temps start to increase, here they come.

Remember, diamonds are made of crabon too, so be careful calling ANY anniversary a crabon one.
