I used Cyclemeter to post to the official Strava thread and it posted faster with more verbiage. Whenever I use Strava to post directly to the official Strava thread it omits half of my words. When is the official Strava thread going to fix this bug?

I bet there's a ticket out for that.

Just don't go too fast or you'll hurt someone's feelings.

Strava thread goes viral as riders squabble about ?stealing KOMs? and ?cyber bullying? - Cycling Weekly

tagaproject6 10-12-17 05:44 PM

Is Strave the future of cycling?

Only if you are riding on gravel, with a 1X, disc brakes, and tubeless.

Did I forget anything about the future??

Slammed and 120mm stems.

Duh.

Bike Forums loves dumb arguments, so I figured it would be a hit.

Don't tell Phil Gaimon about the official Strava thread. He'll out-post all of us.

the best thing to do is build your own strava, and exclude all of the fast riders

Maybe you could hack Zwift and create some random middle of the ocean segments and hold those KOMs forever!

Stick69 10-13-17 08:29 AM

Just reading this thread cause my form to drop 5 points.

Gaimon sounds like Garmin (if you have marbles in your mouth/ or cookies).

Now I think of cookies with both.
Hmm.

Anyone got a segment with over 100K attempts?

I know of a 90K+ one.

Is there a way to find that on Strava?

I'm working toward being the king of repeats on a nearby segment, although I'm still just barely above the 50th percentile. But what I lack in speed I make up for by being not fast.

I KOM'd one with 2 attempts yesterday.

There should be a "most frequented" award similar to KOM but not dependent on speed.

DrIsotope 10-13-17 09:09 PM

<begin Clarkson voice> And I present to you, ladies and gentlemen, the most attempted Strava segment... in the world. 4.8 million attempts.

You have to get out of the real world to find the segments with the most individuals-- I don't think there's a single segment on Zwift's Watopia with less than 90,000 people on the leaderboards. Some of the segments are 800,000 attempts by 150,000+ people.
