Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Antibiotics really kick my butt and I would go with over the counter meds first like Robitussin Max Stregth w. Expectorant..

I had a trainer once tell me that antibiotics can limit your oxygen carrying ability when taken for a while. He told one of the better riders on the team to try to get on the shortest-term meds he could find so that his oxygen carrying ability could recoup.

If you do not need anti's dont take them you will just create more resistant strains.

How about getting a diagnosis as to what is actually wrong before prescribing your own meds? Sore throat and congestion could be many different things. Antibiotics may do you more harm than good.

Go see a doctor.
