Annual PISSING CONTEST: Your mileage 2017

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Annual PISSING CONTEST: Your mileage 2017

In my view only real road miles count.
But throw out any stats you want because you're on the honor system!
I've got 3,121 miles for 2017.
(and I may be able to squeeze in one more ride this weekedn)

Other than the more than 1,400 loaded touring miles, I couldn't really say.

4000, +/- ~75 miles.

What is a 'real road' mile? Are you deducting the miles people rode while hallucinating on narcotics? Or would a gravel road not really be a road, because roads require paving?

3094 on road miles.

I only count hours on the trainer during the winter because "mileage" utterly irrelevant. So I'm at 40 hours for the 2018 season (my season is November 1st to October 31st) which I'm 2 months into it already.

First year riding. Took my kid for a hike and couldn’t believe how out of shape I was. Got home and started riding. Completed a Century in Sept.

Not sure exactly how many, as I didn't track days I ride to the train station for work, but that wouldn't make much of a difference anyway. So, on the road bikes, just over 3,000 miles, which is the most I've ever done.

I'd like to get some more

7232.5 and maybe a few more tomorrow. It's bone chilling cold up here in the Northeast. I probably have another 30 or 40 of short local errands on my hybrid I didn't bother to record. approx 4000 on my Roubaix, 2000 on my R3, 600 on my steel Soma Smoothie, 400 on my loaded 520 during 2 3 day mini tours and another 200 on the hybrid.

My biggest year ever, about 20% increase over my normal 500 hrs which I've consistently ridden for the previous 8 yrs.
600 hrs, 18,058km (Includes a few KK trainer km which are harder than riding outdoors)

8,218 road miles. May get 1 more ride this year, but wet/cold weather is forecast for remainder of year. Goal for the year was 8,000. Beat last year, my previous best year, by 812 miles. Second full calendar year of retirement.

Per Strava:

230 hours
3,825.8 miles
276 personal records
104 activities

I'm hoping to do 40 or 50 tomorrow morning. I'm disappointed I didn't get to 4,000 this year, or beat last year's record, but I was out of town without a bike for a couple of weeks, and breaking my collar bone slowed me down for a bit.

3,600.

Down about 1,000 from the last few years, but had a medical issue earlier in the year.
