Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Killing time because I know my favorite bar tender will be late for her shift. Have to time things so that my walk and dinner shopping will get me there at about 5:20.

My mom has a friend who's in an LTR with a retired doctor- they can't get married because she's a widow and doesn't want to lose her benefits- and they have most if not all of their dental work done in Mexico. Much of what I hear from people about this is good and maybe Mom's friend cheaped out on hers but such horror stories!

When I was a kid, it went like this:

Dolly Parton had 69 boobs (enter 69), which was 2 2 2 many (enter 222), so she went to 51st street (enter 51) to see doctor x (multiply) who gave her 8 pills (enter 8) and left her (hit equals): 55378008

We still have this fun. We have to enter test transmission patterns in satellite modulators all the time. I guess the industry standard is just FFFFFFFF, but we tend to like B16B00B5.

So the three candidates for the Giants' head coach appear to be McDaniels, Patricia, and Shurmur.

Dear god I hope it's Shurmur. Not, truly, because of my famous hatred for all things M*******, but because the Belichick coaching tree is completely devoid of success. It appears O'Brien may soon be saved by Deshaun Watson, but his leadership skills and football schemes have left much to be desired (that and he still comes with the self-destruct feature Belichick includes in all his coordinators).

I swear, if it wouldn't make @BillyD so happy I'd switch to the Packers for the duration of the Belichick-tree coach. Though that would have the advantage of annoying @WhyFi. So there's that.

Kermit the Frog is on the Ed Sullivan Show. It's very disturbing because not only is he wearing a red turtleneck sweater, he laughs like Cookie Monster.

So, this paper may be quite a challenge.

Is there much variation in dementia across the country? Seems to me that unless there are concentrations of it in specific areas (e.g., lots of cancer around a toxic dump) that kind of thing is hard to show.
