Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The at&t line contractors were all in our yard yesterday, pulling fiber.

I find it odd that your mystery activity was the exact same as my ride mileage.

Kudos on mystery activity despite the stalking.

I desired liquids on my ride but only about 12 ounces. I hang my head in shame.

It's a bolt on electronic fuel injection that fits where a 4 barrel carburetor used to be. Carbs are always a compromise IME.. I suppose occasionally they run perfect, but never consistently across conditions.

Mine was acting up on hot days (we get those here) and had a hesitation that annoyed me under light acceleration. This thing bolts on and runs like a modern injected car... start and go. Also, has better throttle response and seems to make better power in the low and mid range.

So, is this throttle body injection?

That is good for being off the bike so long. I rode about the same speed but it was cold. Can't think of any more excuses.

More hanging head in shame.

My dad and two brothers are mechanics. I didn't get that gene apparently. Thanks for the info. I do like cars I just can't fix them.

Even more hanging head in shame.

I don't fix them anymore either. I did when I was in college (old VWs out of necessity and lack of funds) and I did some as a hobby when I was younger.

Now I pay people that know how. It's better for knuckles and less likely to result in fire or explosion.

I might have to keep up with the Jones and get a fat bike. Just gotta research a bit to see how to go about getting wheels and stuff for this thing, cuz *Not compatible with hubs for rear offset (Surly)
