NYC area shop with good shoe selection?
I am looking for a shop in the NYC area (New Jersey would work) that has a pretty varied shoe selection. I am buying my first pair of bike shoes and clipless pedals and I have been going to Gotham Bikes and although they have been very helpful they have about four pairs of Sidi, three pairs of Shimano and a few Diadora. Is this the best selection I will get?
Another question: If you own a pair of Sidi shoes and saw another pair of Sidi online that you were interested in would you buy them without trying them on? Are the fits comparable between different shoes of the same brand?
Gotham carries the Specialized Trivent and although I like them I don't know if it is wise to buy triathalon shoes when I am not a triathlete. I can't find any reviews online and am wondering if anyone has experience with them.

R&A cycles on 5th. Ave. in Park Slope has a huge selection of shoes. Unfortunately, the service sucks and the prices are nothing to get excited about. But you may want to have a look.
