Trek USA
SO it seems the top models are no longer made in USA. since maybe 2017 or so. I can not find any evidence that they are on the website. Based on used model searches it seem 2015 or 16 is that last year of the handmade use frames. I was specifically looking at the emonda slr line. Also any web based searches don't come up with any results newer than 2014 so it seem trek is doing their darndest to keep it on the down low.

If you have a trek dealer nearby look at the frames. It’ll say if it was made in the US or China on it. Project Ones are made in the US.

I visited and toured the operations last year and saw what looked like lots of frame fabrication. My understanding was that it was limited to Project One builds only and in the highest grade carbon. All the rims were being made there too.

My 2015 Emonda SLR was made in the USA. The new 2017 is made in Taiwan.
Maybe there will be tariffs on bikes made in China and production will come back to the USA. Expect to pay 25% more for that bike.

I could be wrong but, it is my understanding that Trek Series 7 OCLV carbon is defense grade which means that it is not exportable. Therefore, any Series 7 bikes are made in the US.

Just found a 2015 emonda slr on eBay and bought it. Usa made, asian price paid. 
Just keeping my fingers crossed until it arrives!!!

Im happy to pay that or 50% more for usa made products such as Hed. instead of buying knockoff reverse engineered intellectual property rights violated chinese stuff. That can possibly one day take down companies like hed.

It matters to me that if one wanted to buy a Trek frame made in US they could but that is no longer an option or is becoming less an option.
It seems like no big deal at first but once the US starts to give it away piece by piece eventually we will have nothing left except for the rich.

You can still pay 50% more for a US made frame.
