Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Generally not. Irrigation/wash. Stitches increase risk of infection.

Silver lining to the urgent care trip: hit up a nearby bike shop and they have reasonable rates for rentals ($100/wk), so I'll likely bring my pedals and helmet on the next trip down.

Ugh.
Gotta be careful with those Dachshunds, they're nippy.

Lol. It's actually one of those little fox-looking dogs; I forget the name. The few that I've met have been testy little bastards and this one's body language suggested the same, which is why I told them to leave it alone. But no.

When I woke up at 5, it dawned on me that I had an 8 AM appointment for a thoracic x-ray. I really didn't want to wait three hours for my coffee, so went back to sleep. Awoke just in time to get dressed and go, and am now just finishing up my coffee. Still wiped out from that excavation work yesterday. Another gorgeous day awaits.

I gotta tell you, this is an unusually outstanding photo. The photographer has managed to capture the euphoria of the winning team in a championship game at just the right instant. Not always easy to do in a fast-moving sport. As well, his focus is properly on the player who heroically made the winning shot while all her teammates are slightly softer as they should be. To accomplish all this at just the right instant is truly outstanding. Award-winning shot, hers and his.

What do you care? You're just hanging out schmoozing nurses. Oh, wait, you do that every day, anyway.

I agree.

The only thing that would make it better? Yellow headbands, or perhaps even yellow shoes......

No, not a Pom. Bigger, but not big. One of those dogs that doesn't bark much.

Yes, vaccinated.

Edit: found it - Shiba Inu.

Oh yeah. They are biters for sure. Very suspicious of everything.

Totally blows, getting bit during chemo. Hopefully it doesn't keep him from getting his next treatment.

Good news on the rental bikes though. Being able to ride a bit during chaotic times helps, I think.
