Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Not that we needed a reminder, but today highlights just how dumb winter really is.

Interesting you mention that. Earlier this week I stopped taking the iron supplement I was on because lately I've had lower GI issues. I hope that's the reason, otherwise something is messed up.

Maybe I need to try coke on a more regular basis. I usually have one when I'm nearing the end of a long, hot ride, and need the extra kick to get home. Mexican coke is tastier, in general, the NOB coke. Why, I don't know.

I definitely don't eat enough of the good stuff for my activity level. It is very hot and humid here, and difficult to spend the kitchen time necessary to remedy that. I'm thinking of taking up eggs again, if only I could find clean ones. Might have to raise my own.

She had seen a neurosurgeon several years earlier who saw her yearly and told her it was not growing but she MUST get an annual MRI. This had been going on for many years and the cyst was not growing or changing.

She saw me and I told her that since she had so many annual MRI's and this cyst had not changed for YEARS that getting an annual MRI going forward was really not necessary.

She was INCENSED! How dare I contradict the mandate from the neurosurgeon. She needs an MRI EVERY YEAR!

She chose to find another doctor, and probably told all her friends what a bad doctor Dr datlas is.

Sigh.
She's obviously grown to like all the clanging and noise of the test, makes her feel fulfilled.

No need to be cruel, I could tell those posts were tinged with guilt.

Nowadays it's the smokers who really get my sympathy, that is one nasty monkey to have on your back.

Huge marketing gimmick with regard to hormones as poultry may not legally be given hormones. Read the faint, fine print the next time you see one of those TV ads. Federal regs say you can't say "No hormones" unless you also say "federal regs prohibit the use of hormones."

Thanks. I was originally looking at the Power2Max NGECO but since the prices have fallen on the pedals plus their portability makes them a little more attractive to me.
