New Bike Day - Bianchi Infinito Celeste
All's well that ends well!
I ordered this bike on April 4th.
A slight shipping delay resulted in a bike arriving at the (4 hour drive away) store on the 17th.
And (see this thread) the wrong colored bike was delivered.
So I wouldn't have to drive home empty-handed, the store suggested I take the wrong bike and use it under their 30 day money back guarantee while they sorted things.
Turns out the 2017 Celeste was no longer available, so instead I got this lovely 2018!
She's a dream to ride!
And major Kudos to Erik's for their excellent customer service. I agreed on Friday the 20th that I wanted the 2018 model. It was ordered on Monday and arrived Saturday the 28th!

I haven't confirmed, but it's supposed to be 11-30, where before it was 11-28.

Very nice. I am about to buy an Infinito as well.... I can't decide the color choice and whether to get disc brakes.

If you decide to get disk brakes, your choice gets simple. You have to get the matte black/celeste combo. Unless you can find a 2017. I don't know why you can't get a disk Infinito in celeste but that is the case.

I like the celeste much better. Does that bike fit you? The set up looks odd.

It looks great. I'm glad you were able to get what you wanted. I have to say that's the coolest looking dork disk I've ever seen.

In terms of the stem ... ha ha, as a 60+ Clyde, that's probably not going to happen :-)

The forward reach is maybe a bit more than I want, so I may be installing a slightly shorter stem, but for now I'm good.
(As someone noted, the stem is upside down, but not for me ...)

Thanks, I am loving it! And I've been reminded in so many ways over the past two weeks that this is really the bike I wanted. Asking the "happy accident?" question only helped reaffirm the Celeste choice. And, bonus, I got the 2018 model with the upgraded R8000 Ultegra components!

No way it's not faster than black. Those Vittoria Rubino Pro G+ 700x25 are my next tire... they look pretty big on those rims.
