Replaced my Fizik saddle with a Fabric. Why did I wait so long?

second, ISM has a demo program : https://www.ismseat.com/demo-saddles/ basically you can try their saddle for $20.
third, alternative is buy/sell ISM saddles on Ebay.

I forgot to say thanks. So, thanks!
I hope the saddle is working out. It looked great on my bike, but it was not to be.
The funny thing is, I started reading this thread, and thought "oh, one of those would look good on my bike". Then my atrophied memory neurons began to start firing up.

Glad you got the envelope, always hesitate to send cash. Its currently on my commuter and it works well on that bike that has a more upright position. Thanks again!

I recently tried the Fabric "Line Shallow Pro" Carbon railed, nice shape and a full relief channel. Got great reviews and thought the shape would be good for me. Alas after two weeks I'm realizing it's not to be. Ah well up on the chopping block and looking again, probably back to a Specialized Toupe. If anyone would like to try the Fabric shoot me a PM. Going to start to cull the collection I've developed!

I replaced my saddle again today with my Fizik Kurve Snake (Arione shape) and did a 30 mile ride. Maybe I'm changing saddles too often trying to find my ideal fit, but I believe I've come to the conclusion that the shape and flatness of the Arione feels best to me. When I determined which shape would fit me best using Fizik's method, I should be a Chameleon (medium flexibility). I guess that goes to show how personal saddle selection is. I'm going to continue experimenting with the saddles I own, but if I determine the Arione style does feel best to me, I may order a Fizik Arone R1 Open and try it too.

Very good point. Thankfully, saddles are priced fairly reasonably.

I just bought the Fabric Scoop Shallow with Ti rails. Like it so far but haven't gone far enough to really give any kind of verdict. The shape kind of reminds me of the charge spoon, but I think the padding on this is much better for longer rides.

3 things... first, check https://www.ismseat.com/locations/ to make sure if there is a dealer near you.
second, ISM has a demo program : https://www.ismseat.com/demo-saddles/ basically you can try their saddle for $20.

Thanks (as always) for the heads up! I'll see what I can find out, I don't have the original shipping packaging anymore but will see if they're still able to accomodate. I don't mind taking a small loss to sell for other deserving souls

The Fiziks give such good support on your sitbones that no cutout is no problem

This is only true if you stay on the rear of the saddle. If you use an arione or antares and move onto and off of the rivet in an aggressive position there won't be sitbone support since the shapes taper significantly. I can't ride a nonchanneled fizik in an aggressive position for more than 20 miles.

I’ve a feeling I’m about to go down this road soon. Fizik Antares? Fabric? The old bike had a Prologo NAC, but there was numbness. Tried a Fizik Aliante and it was ... ok. Not happy on the short time with the Giant Performance Road I’m on now.

I pedal in my sleep...
Bought a Fabric Line Shallow Elite to replace a Prologo Kappa Evo but ended up swapping it out on the bike that had a Toupe on it since I've been riding it more. First ride was a little harsh working out the adjustments. I can see some potential but my initial impression was pretty painful. I hate saddles anymore.

It's a shame the saddle trade thread doesn't get very much attention. I'd say most of us have piles of saddles that didn't work that could be swapped for the next attempt at comfort.

agreed, and I need to look at it again. However some do take matters into their own hands, the stealth carbon saddle that I just received is via a swap/demo with another forum member who will be receiving my fabric saddle to try. I have about 5 saddles including my Infinity (which I’m not quite ready to give up yet), that people within my riding group will often take for a week or two to try and sometimes either purchase new or from me. At this point since demo programs seem to have fallen by the wayside I’m going to create my own with riders here in our little slice of the desert valley.

Here is the link:
Saddle swap
I just usually end up selling my failures on ebay and buying the next but that doesn't always work out very well.

I don't have piles of failed saddles because I use Fabric.

I gave the saddle that came with my C3 to another forum member. I had bought another saddle (not to use long term, but for a test ride, it was very cheap) and gave it away after it served its purpose. The only saddle I own is on my bike now.
