The KMC 11sl Gold appears to have a slower initial wear, followed by a phase of rapidly accelerating wear as one passes 0.5% wear. Nonetheless, that might be a good alternative if one wishes to replace the chains early.

IME....I've never seen a difference in usable life between KMC, Shimano, Campagnolo, and SRAM 11s chains of various tiers/prices. Certainly nothing to justify spending $60USD on a chain versus $20USD a chain. Get 1500 or so miles and they all pass elongation using a digital caliper.

Hence why I buy $20USD SRAM chains at the LBS. Think PC1190 I want to say.
