Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

road-bike-sale.com Anyone use them?

They purport to have relationships with distributors in various Countries to buy unsold stock to resell. The prices are very attractive. The website has good descriptions and photos but it is filled with typos, poor grammar and smells of fraud. I can find nothing on them. Google says the site is safe. They ship from Singapore and Hong Kong where obviously a lot of imitations are found.

The whole thing sounds too good to be true and probably is, but can anyone confirm?

That URL alone has my fraud detector tingling. If it walks like a duck, looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck...

They say that they have insiders at the factory and that they make large, discounted purchases through them. Sounds perfectly reasonable - order it up! Post pics when it arrives!

The domain name was only created in March, and there are no reviews of them on any of the internet business review sites.

They might be legit, but I wouldn’t want to be the one to test it.

Nice prices and they give a 20% discount for bitcoin purchases. It's gotta be legit.

Read their feadback page. With all that positive feadback, it must be legit.
"More than a thousand bikes we have shipped and thousand of customers satisfied."

It's probably as legit as Fishing Equipment For Sale | Shop Cheap Fishing Equipment | Discount Fishing Equipment which has the same feedback from the same people.

You want to just send me the money you planned on spending? At least I’ll tell you before you’re not getting anything in return.

If they are legit, their price is the best I have seen on a particular Orbea I have thought about.
Maybe someone on the forum has direct experience.

They're both from a-plus-plus-feedback.com

Did you end up ordering anything from their website? Curious since I ran across them as well. They are new and it's been hard to find any information on them.

I'm interested too, especially after reading the feadback that "The Road Bike are satisifiable. I dont have any complain regarding their services and services they offer" I mean, you can't ask for a better endorsement than that?

Also I see a few brands on their site -- Surly, Kona -- that specifically prohibit internet sales from their dealer network.

If you're questioning the site enough that you want to come here and ask, you don't need to ask; you know it's fraud.

At my factory, we LOVE selling things below their value.

No. The pricing is attractive but the likelihood that they are legit is probably 2% or less. While your credit card company would probably back you if they stiff you, just not worth the risk and aggravation. I paid about $200 more for the bike I wanted but the peace of mind was worth it. I found it interesting as there was some legitimacy to the site but there is almost nothing on the internet about them good or bad which is rare these days.

One good thing I found in my research, look up In the Know Cycling. They guy does tons of research and rates online sites for bike stuff. Very useful.

Please stop acting like there's even a 2% chance this is legitimate. It is 0%. It always was 0%.

They list an address here:

road-bike-sale.com/pages/Contact-us.html

The address is:

138 Robinson Rd Blok C No 78-79 Singapura 068906

That is the address of a commercial real estate building called Oxley Tower, per this:

Location View of 138 Robinson Road, 068906

Turns out they have a website with a tenant directory:

Oxley Tower | Mall Directory

Guess what? It's mostly empty, and none of the tenants is a bike shop. It doesn't even have a #78-79.

It's a fake shop looking to steal your card/ info. It was always a fake shop looking to steal your card/ info. You even knew it; that's why you posted here hoping someone would tell you you'd found the magic beans. This happens every month or two.

My purpose with this thread was: 1) to find out if anyone had any info on this site and 2) to create a searchable source for the next person who comes across the site and goes looking for information as there is very little.

Rather than just offering helpful information, you chose to be an arrogant, condescending pr1ck.

Bravo, I am sure everyone is humbled by your superiority.

Now GFY!
