Technicolor Road Tires

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Technicolor Road Tires

I know the collective knowledge of this group can probably answer my question very quickly and save me searching each and every tire brand.

I'm building up a road bike specifically for hill climbing - low gears and compliant. I have 23s on right now but I think 25s would give me more comfort on high speed descents on bad pavement. I have a set of Michelin carbons in yellow that look really spiffy since the bike is almost completely black but I wish they were 25s. Who makes clincher/folding 25s in color?

Thanks for sharing some of that trivia running around in your head.

Check out www.probikekit.com-- they have a pretty good tire selection and may have what you are looking for, and they have the best tire prices I've seen around as well. They ship from the UK though, so you're better off if you buy two or more at a time. Hope this helps.

I know they exist but I've never seen them in a store. Did you get them online?

I was surprised. Google just turned up a bunch by searching "Michelin Carbon 25." Universal Cycles, ebikestop, biketiresdirect, REI, etc.

I looked through all of Conti, Vittoria and Schwalbe. Of those three, Vittoria has the only one with a higher TPI tire in color.

Oh, don't make me cry! I used to get all my road tires from a buddy who worked for Michelin . . . 'till he got tired of their cr@p. For some reason he wasn't persuaded by my arguments that he should keep working for them just so I could get free tires.

Use the "Product finder" menu on the link.

Put in your tire size, road condition, and color and it will show you the tires that match your query.

For example: I put your info in and this was one of the products that came up as being 700x25 in yellow

Thanks, but it won't let me specify width.

Correct. Look at all the available tires in the "Select Color / Size for Order" drop down list and you will see the different widths that are available in your requested size and color.

See my previous post. I updated it.

First place I looked since I ride Pros on my Litespeed. Checked Conti also because it's my other favorite. I'm branching out into untested (by me) brands here.
